 QUESTION: WHAT IS QUALITATIVE RESEARCH STUDY?

• A research in the natural settings, attempting to make sense of or interpret phenomenon in terms of the meanings people bring to them (Denzin & Lincoln, 2000) 
• Findings not arrived at by means of statistical procedures or quantification (Strauss & Corbin, 1990)
• Today, most people equate qualitative research with grounded theory (Johnson and Christenson, 2000)
